Since 2011 ADDE has been carrying out the project “From school to life through the virtual enterprise”, having as partners: Virtual Enterprise International New York, Department of Education New York City, City Hall of Sector 1 Bucharest, School Inspectorate of Bucharest, Economic College “V. Madgearu ”Bucharest, Theoretical High School“ N. Iorga ”, Agricultural College“ V. Harness “Bucharest,” Mircea cel Batran “Technical College Bucharest, Theoretical High School” Al. The objectives of the project are:

  • to familiarize teachers with the concept and practice of virtual enterprises, as an interactive learning method;
  • the involvement of the representatives of the business environment in Bucharest in the projects of the schools, in order to ensure educational partnerships;
  • valuing the experiences gained for advising and guiding students; perfecting the business language in foreign languages;
  • stimulating students’ creativity and recognizing it internationally;
  • motivating the students with special results in the practice of the virtual enterprises;
  • establishing partnerships with similar schools in the USA and other countries participating in the fair;
  • carrying out actions aimed at increasing the prestige of the school locally and internationally;
  • knowledge of the American educational system;
  • organizing mobilities with students based on educational projects.

As part of this project, at the invitation of the Department of Education of New York, USA, ADDE members participate annually in the International Fair of Virtual Enterprises organized in New York, USA.

The objective of our association, within this project, is to facilitate access to this manifestation of as many teachers from the Bucharest education system, both from theoretical or technological high schools, as well as from secondary schools, as visitors and, at the same time, their familiarization with the concept and practice of the virtual enterprises, as an interactive learning method, meant to develop the entrepreneurial spirit, both to the students and to the teachers, students, high school students as well as representatives of the business environment in Bucharest.

Keeping the tradition of previous years, every year there were visits to different institutions of higher education, such as: Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), but also meetings at the Romanian Consulate in New York, in which students and teachers participated from Romania, romanian graduates and representatives of the Romanian community in New York.

Young people in charge of preserving national identity

The venue is: Bucharest, Romania and Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.

The general objective of the project is: Promoting the national values ​​of the Romanian people; development period: May – November 2017. We estimate an average participation of 50 participants / event (40 young people representing the target group). The proposed activities are: 1) contacting the Romanian communities in the Republic of Moldova; 2) project promotion; 3) preparation and implementation of the project, with the sub-activities: a) selection of the target group; b) organizing an awareness training on the importance of using non-formal methods of education (emphasis on Photo Voice); c) organizing a workshop for training young people in photo technique; d) joint activities – 7 days – in the Republic of Moldova: a virtual photo exhibition will be organized (minimum 1000 photos), on the following 5 fields: personalities and events; natural beauties; Romanian folk songs and dances; crafts, occupations; habits and traditions; 4) project evaluation; 5) dissemination and continuity of the project.

Project objectives

  • Raising awareness about the importance of knowing the most important events in the history of the Romanian people, of their trades, their specific occupations, customs, traditions related to different moments in life / communities / people, by a group of 40 young people (20 Romanian young people) from the Republic of Moldova, 20 Romanian young people from Romania), for a period of 8 weeks
  • Creating the creativity of 40 Romanian young people with reduced opportunities (20 from the Republic of Moldova and 20 from Romania), by implementing the Photo Voice method – so, by training and perfecting the skills in the IT field and the photographic art, the managerial skills, for a period of time. 8 weeks
  • Support and support for the study of the Romanian language and literature, of Romanian culture and civilization, as essential tools in knowing the spirituality of the Romanian people and in the open expression of their belonging to Romanian, by a group of 40 young Romanian (20 young Romanian from the Republic of Moldova and 20 Romanian young people from Romania), for a period of 8 weeks

The project aims to provide young people with the opportunity and the tools to become active members of the society. Through photographs, they have the opportunity to make known their lifestyle and the problems they face: marginalization, discrimination, social exclusion, intolerance and ignorance. The main PhotoVoice method is a non-formal education method that allows photo subjects to become their creators. The young people behind the camera can transmit to those around them what life means in their community, meeting young people with a different cultural background who dreamed of the same thing.

Educating students for the circular economy – an economy that produces zero waste

The project “Educating pupils for the circular economy – a zero-waste economy” aims to increase the information of 900 pupils from 30 schools in Bucharest, regarding the circular economy, through non-formal education. In the 1976 research report by Walter Stahel and Genevieve Reday for the European Commission and called “The Potential to Substitute the Human Workforce for Energy,” the two researchers outlined the vision of an economic loop (or circular economy) and its effect on creation. jobs, economic competitiveness, saving resources and preventing waste. From this perspective education for the circular economy plays a key role in the instructional-educational process and the change of the behavior of educators towards the environment through positive approaches. The present project covers the following areas: supporting teachers in carrying out non-formal education activities with students for the accumulation of knowledge, developing skills and training to improve the quality of education and to stimulate innovation in education systems in terms of education for economy.

Specific objectives of the project:

  • Improving competences by experimenting with innovative methods and practices for educating for circular economy of 900 students from 30 schools in Bucharest;
  • Elaboration of a methodological guide in which projects of non-formal activities for the education of students for the circular economy are presented;
  • Presentation of education campaigns for circular economy in communities.

The target group is made up of 900 students from 30 pilot education units (5 educational units per sector). At each level of the 30 pilot schools will be made up of 3 groups of 10 students / group, which will participate in the practical activities of non-formal education regarding the circular economy (4 activities / group of 10 students, 1 h / activity). . In this way, the 60 projected activities, according to the work plans in the Methodological Guide, will be piloted, by the 30 teachers from the pilot schools.

The dissemination plan of the project envisages two stages of work:

  1. At the target group level, the impact analysis of the project will be carried out on the basis of questionnaires and interviews that will be conducted during the workshops and on the occasion of the final conference.
  2. The implementation team from the ISMB level will draw up an evaluation report based on the feedback from the target group, which will be subsequently transmitted to the educational institutions involved and presented to the Board of Directors, to the Teacher Councils, to the Councils of parents and pupils’ representatives, on the sites of pilot schools. The evaluation report will also be disseminated to the external partners involved – ADDE.

The information and promotion manager within the project will elaborate and publish in the local press an article on the results and impact of the project on the pre-university education system in Bucharest.

Carousel of trades – support services for the career orientation of children from the Bucharest secondary school education

The project “Carousel of vocational support services for the career guidance of children from Bucharest secondary school education” aims to increase the information of 900 students in the 7th and 8th grades, from 30 schools in Bucharest, regarding to the options regarding the educational and professional course, which will develop their decision-making capacity regarding the choice of the future profession, the career orientation and their socio-professional integration, through the non-formal education.·        In the first stage, the selected pilot education units are informed about the project (5 schools in each sector), followed by the selection of the target group at each of these pilot schools, respectively 30 students from each pilot school. At the same time, the ISMB applicant will conclude 18 partnerships with economic agents for the project (3 agreements at sector level).·        In the second stage, the activities will be carried out with the 900 students, both in the pilot schools and at the economic agents with whom the partnership agreements have been concluded by the applicant, during which the students from the target group will be presented, theoretically and practically, a wide range of jobs and qualifications. At the same time, the editor of the magazine of trades on the Bucharest labor market, the 3 experts with the elaboration of 6 materials / articles, the expert of layout and graphic design magazine and the photographer expert will create the magazine of trades on the Bucharest labor market, which will describe the activity of the students from the target group. to businesses.

Main objectives:

  • Developing to the students in the target group the abilities of verbal, verbal and nonverbal communication in specific situations to economic agents;
  • Developing the school-business partnership by concluding at least 18 collaboration agreements between ISMB and economic agents;
  • Increasing the level of knowledge among the target group regarding the trades / qualifications on the Bucharest labor market, by carrying out the magazine of trades on the Bucharest labor market;
  • Identifying their own strengths (as well as those that need to be developed) by the students themselves Identification of the areas of interest for the future profession, of the suitable profession in accordance with the psychic and intellectual profile of the students, of their competences, as well as of the roles that they can assume;
  • Solving practical problems raised by the trades / qualifications presented in the business environment;
  • Correlation of the intervention strategy in the career orientation of the students in the target group with the business environment.

The target group is made up of 900 students from the 7th and 8th grades, from the 30 pilot education units. At each school of the 30 pilot schools will be formed groups of 30 students, from the 7th and 8th grades, who will participate in both the specific activities carried out within the school, as well as the economic agents. The 30 students from each school will be divided into 3 groups, each with 10 students, who will participate in the economic agents with which the ISMB applicant has signed the partnership agreements.

Within the project, a set of specific activities will be implemented to know and disseminate the project and all its results at the community level. At the beginning of the project, a communication and dissemination plan of the project results will be made to the general public, by the responsible for dissemination and valorization of the project management team. The external partners will be directly involved in the activities of promoting and enhancing the project and its results, by providing quality information about the project (press releases, publication on the ISMB website and on the CCD, CMBRAE and ADDE websites, interviews in the local press). In particular, all the participants in the project will make dissemination materials of the project that they will present in the teacher councils from the schools of origin, in the schools they monitor and in the methodical activities with the specialized teachers realized at the level of the municipality.

Effective communication and conflict mediation in the school environment (COMED)

The project “Effective communication and conflict mediation in the school environment” (COMED) aims to achieve through non-formal education, in training workshops, practical skills of effective communication in identifying, preventing and mediating conflicts in the school environment, in order to increase decision-making capacity at the level of management teams in school units and at the level of the verification and control team at the level of ISMB.

The aim of the project consisted in the continuous training for the optimization of the exercise of the formative function, of communication and intra – intersystemic relation and the configuration of the communication expertise in the prevention and mediation of the conflicts in the school environment.

The training sessions were carried out in 26 school units, centers and training branches of CCD Bucharest, distributed in all the 6 sectors at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and in accredited private educational units. The training sessions were given by 15 trainers.

The main objectives of the project were:

  • Development of verbal, paraverbal and nonverbal communication skills in specific situations;
  • Solving practical problems raised by communication barriers in the school environment;
  • Identifying personal communication style and roles within the team;
  • Solving practical problems raised by barriers of high-frequency conflict in the school environment;
  • Identifying the specific sources of conflict in the school environment;
  • Identifying the conflict-generating emotions associated with a context specific to the relationships between the actors involved in educational communication;
  • The use of educational procedures for mediation taking into account the cultural and aptitude differences of the participants;
  • Correlation of the intervention strategy in conflict mediation at the level of all partners involved in the educational act.

The target group (590 teachers) consisted of the 505 principals / deputy principals from the state educational units in Bucharest, 50 principals / deputy principals of the accredited private educational units in Bucharest and 45 school inspectors from the Municipality Bucharest. At the level of the 26 training centers, groups of 18-20 students were formed – principals / deputy principals of the state units and of the accredited private educational units. The 45 school inspectors were divided into 3 groups.

Health is a state of well-being. You’re good?

The Health project is a well-being. Are you okay ?, organized by the School Inspectorate of the Municipality of Bucharest in collaboration with the Association for Sustainable Development in Education, Bukovina, Kineto Bebe, The Foundation for the Value of Life, Sas Gym, Fitness Concept, the Food Consumers Association aims to stimulate the interest of adolescents towards and the benefits of consuming healthy foods, which can be combined in different variants and can be substitutes for fast food. Equally, the purpose of the project is aimed at increasing the motivation of young people to practice sports, but also to understand the variety of sports alternatives in order to choose those that fit the specific human data.

In this project were involved 100 students, coming from four high schools of Bucharest, which were evaluated by specialists in the field: physiotherapists, fitness coaches, nutrition consultants. They received individually an evaluation sheet regarding: muscle mass, body fat, obesity, hydration level, bone mass, body calories, body type, basal metabolic rate, metabolic age.

The training program attended by the selected students took place over three months and consisted of: training in a fitness room and a personalized diet. The young people were accompanied to the fitness room by the trainer once or several times a week. Tutorials were developed on the physical and emotional state of the subjects, before and after the project program.

Save the Blue Planet!

Another project that the association is carrying out is a campaign entitled “Save the Blue Planet!”, A campaign to inform and raise awareness of the students about the importance of protecting the environment and reducing energy consumption.

This activity involves organizing workshops for volunteer teams, mediated by readers from NGOs working in the field of environmental protection, but also by teachers in the implementation team or other teachers in the school, setting up school clubs “Save the Blue Planet ”, Publishing campaign information on the project website and clubs, as well as distributing posters and leaflets in schools, including messages dedicated to the campaign.
